| Compulsory Acquisition and Compensation
Compulsory Purchase, Land Acquisition and Compensation form a major
part of our business. We have built up a wealth of experience within
the business and represent many clients throughout the Midlands conurbation
whose properties have been affected by either direct compulsory acquisition
or the acquisition of Wayleaves and Eastments by utility companies.
In addition to representing the interests of landowners and occupiers
against entry by water, gas and other utility companies, we have built
up considerable expertise in dealing with properties affected by overhead
power lines, the compensation provisions for which are governed in
the Electricity Act 1989. We are developing a niche market in this
area and our efforts have in some instances led to the removal of overhead
power lines affecting development sites and failing that, the settlement
of compensation claims where sites and existing properties have been
blighted by the power lines.
For further information on compensation matters, contact Roger Bedson
at our Eccleshall Office on 01785 850866.
